THE FLOOR IMPROV NIGHT IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND NIGHT WHERE DANCERS AND MUSICIANS OF ALL KINDS COME TOGETHER FOR A LIVE, IMPROVISED JAM-SESSION, CREATING UNDENIABLE ENERGY AND UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES!

We have created this night to fill a void that we had been feeling for a long time. We live in a city that holds so much incredible talent, but because of how diverse and dispersed it is, we craved a central place where they can all come express themselves artistically…TOGETHER! So we’ve opened up THE FLOOR to you! Come play, dance and experience something that is organic and completely in the moment. No rules, no egos, just all of us creating a rollercoaster to ride with one another – a truly magical night that has to be experienced!

Walter Davis is our “Pied Piper”, whose saxophone leads the musicians jam session, conjuring every style of dancer to jump in on THE FLOOR! And even if you don’t have musical notes or dance moves in you, you will surely be a part of this fantastic ride just by witnessing the raw creative energy unfolding before you!

Our beloved DJ Uniek is also part of the jam session and makes sure we all keep moving non-stop all-night, making for a seamless flow of music and energy!

Mario Melendez’s King King is an incredible home space that generates its own good vibes and good times. It’s the perfect “pot” to stir up what we’re cooking in there!

Thank you to the fantastic guest musicians, dancers, singers and artists who have walked through the doors – not only to share their incredible gifts with us, but for spreading the word by inviting more members to our Floor Family! Its because of you THE FLOOR Improv Night has gone from a one-time only event into a monthly night that has grown tremendously over these past 3 years. You have made THE FLOOR the most unique night out, incomparable to any other place in Los Angeles!
